It comes from deposits located in the foothills of the Himalayas washed by the oceans during the Jurassic era. Its colour is due to its high mineral content, offering up to 84 different types of minerals.
PROVENANCE:
Himalayan salt is a mineral salt usually provided·from the Khewra salt mine at Jhelum in the foothills of the Salt Range in the Punjab Himalayas (Pakistan).
INGREDIENTS:
- Himalayan pink salt.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Pinkish in colour.
- Crystals of approx. 2 mm. in diameter.
- It is one of the purest salts because it is not chemically treated.
- It is between 150 and 250 million years old.
ALLERGENS:
- Contains NO Allergens.
ADVICE AND USEFULNESS:
Himalayan salt can be used in any type of dish, but is perfect for seasoning grilled meats or fish.
